Healthy Eating

Firstly it is important that we drink at least eight glasses of water everyday. At the bottom of the pyramid we have the fortified-cereal, bread, rice and pasta. Those are the food we have to eat the most. On top of that we have the fruit and vegetables. We must have at least two servings of each everyday. On top of that we have the dairy group, the nuts group and the meat group. And on the very top of the pyramid we have the fats, oil and sweets group. This is the group where you must watch yourself. So it is odvious that we must eat the food on the bottom half of the pyramid to stay healthy which is the fortified-cereal, bread, rice, noodles, fruits and vegetables. We have to reduce the amount or do not even eat food such as; potato chips, chocolates, ice-cream, candy, fries, coke, soda, doughnuts, luncheon meat, hot dogs, canned soups, baked goods; cupcakes, cakes, etc. These are the foods most people love to eat, but alsio the food you must avoid. We have to eat in a healthy order to maintain a healthy lifestyle and to live a long and happy life with your family and friends without facing plenty of challenges in everyday life.
The diseases contracted with eating unhealthy food is diabetes, eating disorder, herpes, high-blood pressure, cancer, heart attack and many more. While eating more fruit and vegetables you can stay away from these diseases. Fruits and vegetables are critical to promote good health.
I like to eat fruit and vegetables as they are all healthy, but I prefer the fruits better as they are more juicier and more vibrant colored. Although I do not like some vegetables, I like the rest. My favourite veggies are the cucumber, lady's finger, lettuce and many more. As for the fruits, I like all of them. But my favourite is the cherry, tomato, orange, jack-fruit, watermelon, melon and the banana.
I fully support the school's campaign to encourage the pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables as I think it is a very good idea on having pupils to eat more fruit and vegetables. As our school is very competitive, I think it will be a challenge to all classes. I would really love to give suggestions on what other activities you can have to encourage more pupils to eat more fruits and vegetables, but I am sorry, I have non. But maybe I can give you this. Why don't you encourage the parents of the pupils to at least give the child 2 servings of fruits and 2 servings of vegetables everyday at home.

Silent Reading

I think the school gets the pupils to read every morning to get them prepared to learn early in the morning and to not waste an opportunity to learn. It also helps the pupils as reading will improve your knowledge and further improve your English. I read a lot of books because I love reading. So my answer to your second question is Yes. I love reading because it is my hobby and I can use it as a pastime. It also helps me to relax and helps me improve in my English. Last time I read children books with big words, pictures and the pages were little. But now I have progressed and can read thick books with small words and no pictures. My mother was also surprised when I read finish the book called  "New Moon" by Stephnie Meyer. she thought I skipped pages and did not read it thoroughly, but I told her I had progressed. I like to read all kinds of books. Love, mysteries and etc. I truly think that reading helps because, as I said earlier, it gives us extra knowledge and helps to improve our English language. The school library can buy new books and maybe get the pupils to write on a piece of paper, books that they want, but are not in the library. I actually do not have a favourite book because I usually like all the books I read. But if I were to choose authors, I would choose Meg Cabot, Stephnie Meyer or Enid Blyton as there books are interesting,  easy to picture in your head and is usually very unforgettable story.

Outside School Activities

1.I am involved in Violin lessons, Chinese, English, Mathematics and Science tution from Monday through Sunday. But my English, Mathematics and Science tution they are done together. As in like, they are at the same tution home and taught by the same teacher. And the teacher will decide when to do what subject on which day.
2.I spend in total 4 days for my outside school activities. I spend Wednesday night for my violin and Tuesday night for my Chinese. On wednesday, I have my so called triple-lessons, before my violin lesson and on Saturday morning I have the same class.
3.I spend 45 minutes on my Violin lessons and 1 hour for my Chinese. For my English, Mathematics and Science they are done together, so I spend 1 hour and a half, two times a week.
4.I am involved in Violin lessons because at first it was my mother and my sister,Urara, but after a while my mother quitted and I joined. Then I forgot why but we stopped after a short period of time. But because my mother wanted us to continue, she signed us up for violin lessons at Mandeville. At Mandeville, I think I have been taught by Three different Violin teachers.(Including my current teacher.) For my Chinese because I am weak in Chinese so my mother asked her friends if they could recommend any tutors. I think now I am with my Third Chinese teacher. For my "Triple-lessons", the teacher last time taught my sister,Urara, before and so I am also going to the same tution.
5.The tution classes are beneficial but the Violin classes I think not so much. The tution classes are beneficial and usefull because this year is very important as we will have our Primary School Leaving Examination(PSLE). We must all study hard and give our best even if it is only our practice paper or homework as it will become a habit. The violin lessons are not very beneficial for me but I am taking part in these activities because.........I do not really know why I am still taking part in these lessons. I do not really want to become a violin teacher or anything like that,  but maybe for my sister,Urara,it is beneficial as she wants to become a violin teacher. I suggested to my mother a few times that I can quit learning violin because my mother said it was to expensive but my mother still asked me to continue.
6.I think the violin lessons are affecting my studies as it is very tiring as on Wednesdays I have tution and I go straight to violin lessons so I usually do my homework there while my sister is having her turn. It is I think just a waist of time and money. But on the other hand I think the tution classes are not affecting my studies but improving it. The tution classes are good and I can keep up with with my homework there.
7.I do not think that I get stressed very easily. I am just very sleepy after my violin classes but I can handle that. I am usually cheerful and humble and I think that means I am not stressed.
8.I am not that sure. I think it depends on the activities they are joining. If it is beneficial, does not affect your studies a lot, helps you in the future, something you look forward to do everyday and it is something you want to do, then I will say "Go For It!" But if it is something you are forced to do,something that is not beneficial, affect your studies a lot, does not help you in the future, something you do not look forward to everyday and something you do not want to do, then I will say "Do Not Go For It!" Tell your parents No and why. If you keep it from them, you are wasting there money and wasting your time.

Passion for Learning

1.I understand that you need Passion to learn and to succeed in your studies.
2.It is necessary to have Passion for Learning to reach your get target.
3.My sister,Urara.
4.Before the tests, she writes a whole book full of notes and revises until she sleeps and she always pays attentions in school and at tution.
5.Yes, because I most of the time pay attention in class and at tution. Although sometimes I read my book during lesson time. And now I am stopping that habit. And I always hand up my homework on time.
6.I can read more books AT HOME and do more assesment books.

Target setting

1.The purpose of target setting is to improve in the various subjects, and by setting targets you know how much you want to improve. And when you reached that target, you can set a higher target
2.Yes, I think it is useful because, because with this you now know how much you have improved and need to improve
3.Actually I didn't set the targets by myself. I set the targets together with my teachers help.
4.I do have a plan and it is to set a timetable and follow it accordingly. and to domore assesment books than the previous years.
5.My parents are helping me by encouraging me the whole way and not stressing me out.
6.I will motivate myself by telling myself that I can do it, and I will do it. I will also help myself by pushing myself foward and doing the best that I can do.
7.They can help us by setting up more exam papers to make us see how hard the paper is, thus getting them to study harder and wake up from their holiday mood because most of them are still do not know how important this year is.

Total Defence-What I want to defend

Hello everyone!
For total defence day, I would want to defend my friends and family,(Including my teachers, who I consider as my friends now.)who have been following me the whole way through my 12 years of life and encouraging me to do what I feel is right and wrong. I want to defend them because they have done so much for me. They have followed me through thick and thin, and when I fall, they pull be back up to myy feet and I am sure they will continue to do that through out my life. They have helped me in my studies, sports and lots more, and I am very grateful for that. And as my part as their friends, I would also want to help them, and I hope I am. As I make new friends, I will still cherish the special moments I had with my old ones and I hope I am still in touch with them as they are still part of my life as long as I live.
Lastly I would want to say that, even though we all do not show it, I am sure deep, deep inside our HEARTS we all LOVE one another.

School's Vision,Mission and Values

1.The school's Vision is: A school of distinction Nurturing Future-Ready citizens of Character.
The school's Mission is: Providing quality education to equip pupils with the values, knowledge and skills for the 21st century. The school's values are: P-Passion for learning I-Integrity our foundation E-Excellence in everything we do
2.I think the school's Vision,Mission and Values are well set and targeted.
3.Yes,I believe in them as they are realistic and because anyone can achieve anything they believe they can achieve given that they work hard towards it.
4.Some do so,while others do not. Those who think about it,always give there best and never say die. And they don't mind if they lose,at least they give all they can give. If everyone wins, who will lose? Those who do not think about it,will always relax and as Mr.Leow says when you do nothing about it,they will always get the result they have always been getting.
5.I as a student can always work hard towards my dreams and always give my best in everything I do even though it does not always turn out the way I want it to.
6.Maybe some Adventure Camp without instructors so that they can learn to be responsible and not to rely so much to their parents, teachers and instructors. and maybe they can also ask us put up a performance by ourselves without the help of the parents and teachers.
